Rotterdam

Rotterdam is a young, dynamic metropolis that continues to innovate at a rapid pace. Sparkling skyscrapers, an impressive harbor, trendy restaurants and food markets, renowned museums and great festivals are the direct result of the can do mentality of the Rotterdammers. Add to that the many special attractions and city tours - by bicycle, bus, boat or foot - and you understand why Rotterdam was voted Best Inner City of the Netherlands 2015-2017 and Best in Travel 2016 by Lonely Planet.

The city reinvented itself after the bombing in the Second World War. People broke with the past and preferred modern architecture. Light, air and space, that was the motto and groundbreaking for that time. Rotterdam still embraces the experiment: almost everything is possible. you are constantly surprised by a new initiative: from a city farm on the roof to a music festival in the harbor, from an exclusive rooftop bar to a beer brewery in an old warehouse.
